Therapeutic Services
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented, and evidence-based talk therapy that focuses on changing dysfunctional thinking, emotions, and behaviors to treat mental health conditions like anxiety and depression.
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a psychotherapy developed by Marsha Linehan meant for individuals experiencing intense emotions, self-harm, or borderline personality disorder. It works by balancing emotional acceptance with positive behavioral change, teaching skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is
a mindfulness-based, "third-wave" cognitive-behavioral therapy that promotes psychological flexibility by helping individuals accept difficult emotions rather than fighting them. It uses strategies like mindfulness, cognitive defusion, and values-based action to reduce the impact of painful thoughts, encouraging committed action toward a meaningful life.
Our Philosophy of Care
Holistic
I believe that it is important to take a holistic approach to mental health. I recognize that there are many aspects to our mental health including our mind, body, and our environment that are integral to overall wellness.
Evidenced-Based
It is important that the techniques used in psychotherapy are tried and true methods to help you make progress towards your goals.
Safety-Minded
At our core, we need to be safe in order to make progress. Whether you are coming to the office or participating in therapy virtually, your environment should be safe and welcoming. Making sure these environments are safe is a top priority and critical for long-term success.
